Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Personal Assistant (PA) for my son, who is mobile via a powered wheelchair operated with a headswitch and is very tech-savvy. As his independence relies heavily on technology, it is crucial that the person supporting him is technically astute. He uses a smartbox PC communication aid and communicates through MDT (Magic Drive Technology). The role involves assisting with personal hygiene, feeding, and clothing, as well as supporting him in his hydro pool and attending weekly physio sessions. The ideal candidate should enjoy learning new skills and should be a car driver, as my son has an adapted vehicle. We are specifically seeking a male support worker who shares his love of technology and has a wicked sense of humour. The successful applicant must also be willing to travel abroad with us to our holiday home in Spain.
