Castlecroft Residential Care Home

Castlecroft care home in Weoley Castle, Birmingham is a residential care home with a welcoming environment, offering care with warmth and expertise. At Castlecroft, we are dedicated to providing exceptional residential, dementia, and respite care in a compassionate environment.

What is life like at our care home in Weoley Castle?
Our team are passionate about creating a special community here, at our Weoley Castle care home. Our residents play a very active role in determining how the home is run – with resident ambassadors getting involved in everything from running activities to interviewing potential staff.

We believe when someone moves into Castlecroft, we must help and encourage them to do the things that bring them joy and a sense of purpose. Residents like Ron (whose story you can read below) are a great example of this. With our help, he still coaches children’s rugby, and we’ve even built him his own gym at Castlecroft, so he can continue his passion for keeping fit.

The loved ones of our residents get involved too, running our vintage café, hosting music sessions, and volunteering within the home itself. We also have our own care home cats. It’s this approach that gives Castlecroft Residential Care Home a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a genuine family feel.

The staff here go above and beyond their duties to care for our dad. The extra activities they provide and the interaction included are so comforting to see. Dad is well-fed, loved and cared for here. A truly 5-star home for someone who needs 24-hour care. Congratulations to the staff. An amazing team.

Cannot speak highly enough of CastleCroft. I had Christmas lunch here with my brother. The management and carers are so professional and caring. My brother only eats soft food the kitchen accommodates him daily with fresh liquidated vegetables and meat/fish. He is so happy here I’m pleased to say. This makes me happy plus he is also involved with activities he’s part of the Games Club. The residents get daily photos and updates on daily activities on social media. Thank you CastleCroft

I was recommended by a friend when looking for a new place for my mom. Mom has been at Castlecroft Residential Care Home now since February. After a terrible experience at her previous placement, Mom has come on leaps and bounds. She was severely depressed and underweight when she arrived at Castlecroft but the staff have been nothing but caring, patient and understanding. The difference in my mom is huge, she is eating three meals a day, interacting with residents and taking part in activities. In particular, two members of staff have been amazing (there are many more). I couldn’t recommend Castlecroft enough!

My mum has been there for just over one month on respite. We are hoping to make it permanent. The staff have been so accommodating and are always keeping us updated on Mum’s progress. My mum has really settled in well and always looks happy. This makes us feel happier as a family as it’s one of the hardest decisions of your life, placing a relative in a home.
I thank the staff for all their hard work!

My nan was brought to the care home in April 2023. We were very hesitant about where she goes. We got offered a place here at Castlecroft Residential Care Home and the day I came to have a look around I was greeted by friendly faces, polite and well-mannered staff.
The day we brought my nan to the home we had all mixtures of emotions. But all of the anxiety and sadness soon went when we saw my nan just scoot off into the communal areas. It was as though she’d always been a part of that home.
As days passed we had updates from the staff and photos of my nan smiling and looking radiant. She was well, she was fed and altogether she was safe. Whenever we visit we feel it’s home from home. And my nan loves it there, she calls it her home which makes us feel at ease.
Thank you to all of the staff that have taken their time to get to know Nan and make her days better.
