Newbridge House
Newbridge House was officially opened in February 2011. Newbridge is purpose built with dementia clients at the heart of the design. With large bright corridors, bespoke signage and handrails across the home. Over the last decade of being open, the home has developed strong and positive relationships with local commissioners, CCG and inspectors.
Newbridge has 30 beds set over 2 floors serviced by a large passenger lift. As it states in our most recent CQC report, Newbridge is very much like a family run home. This positive atmosphere reflects in the happiness of our residents and the compliments we get from families and professionals alike.

Our mom has resided at Newbridge House since June this year. I cannot thank the manager and all the staff here enough. They are sincere, caring, helpful and understand Mom’s needs. She has settled in so well and I believe she now considers Newbridge House her home, which relieves the guilt and anxiety we all feel. Mom is always saying how lovely everyone is and that the meals are great. This is a cruel disease, but the service from everyone at Newbridge House helps no end. She loves the activities, especially when there’s music involved, and she starts showing off her dancing skills. She is safe and secure.

My Mother has been a resident here since March 2022. During this period the staff have been friendly, caring and supportive to her and the family whenever we visit. She is well-fed, has made friends and is comfortable in the environment. There is regular enrichment for residents and families are encouraged to participate in fundraising activities and fun days. We made the right choice for Mom when faced with the difficult decision that we could no longer care for her ourselves.

Thank you for looking after my father so well. He was happy and cared for, and found everyone there to be always so positive, happy and very caring! He particularly loved the food! What a fabulous place. My mother has vascular dementia. She was angry and frightened, but as soon as she moved into Newbridge House she felt safe, happy and she had a purpose in life. No longer were days looming in front of her. She very rarely uses her room, preferring to spend her time in the communal areas with all of the friends she has made. The staff are very caring and lovely and we experience this every time we visit. Nothing is too much trouble and my mother has told us that she can do anything she wants to. She no longer feels as though someone is stopping her from doing what she wants. She obviously can’t do what she wants but she truly believes that she can. This demonstrates the care and attention shown by the staff. It was the best decision we made for her. She still comes out with us but is keen to get back to her home and friends. She is living her best life. Fabulous place, thank you.

My mother is not and to be fair never has been easy to please, but when I see how the professionals can make her happy and calm her down, it makes me feel quite humble. The atmosphere is always calm yet welcoming and my mother generally makes positive comments about the place to me.
